Lung Pae in Surat Thani

"Excellent restaurant with a beautiful view. The food is delicious, the staff is welcoming, the atmosphere is pleasant, and the prices are reasonable. To get there, just follow Google Maps. It will guide you right to the entrance. From the main road, you’ll need to walk about 10 minutes along a fairly steep side street. But don’t worry, the walk is absolutely worth it. If you’re confident on a motorbike, you can ride almost to the door like many locals do, but I found it a bit too tricky and chose to walk instead. The only dish that let me down was the fried banana, which wasn’t crispy at all. Overall, I highly recommend this place. If you plan to visit around sunset during high season, make sure to book in advance."

"Hidden gem is the perfect way to describe this place. Drive up to this fantastic restaurant for a view of the beach, it's especially beautiful during sunset and is a lovely date night away from the crowds. Food was amazing, would be a regular if I lived on the island!"

"Lung Pae is one of the best dining experiences I’ve had on Koh Tao. The view from up in the hills is incredible — especially at sunset — and the atmosphere is peaceful and relaxed. But the real star of the show? The steak. I had the E3 (or E4) and it was absolutely unreal. Cooked perfectly, super tender, and packed with flavour. Easily one of the best steaks I’ve had in Thailand. Great portions, amazing value, and served with care. Highly recommend it if you’re a steak lover — you won’t be disappointed. Bonus points for the friendly staff and the free pick-up service. Lung Pae is a must-visit!"

"I was asking myself if google maps gone wrong as the road is pretty difficult but it was right. The vibe here is amazing, better reserve a table for a terrace area, food waiting time a bit long, I wish the deep fried fish a bit crispier. Definitely a place to dine in Koh Tao"
